Lap times
Laps, marked or automatic
Press Ctrl+L each lap, import them from your logger, or drop them straight from your camera's GPS. Sector splits too. Every lap timed, with a click-to-jump list.
The LapInsight Player · available now
Mark laps by hand, pull them from your logger, or drop them straight from your camera's GPS. Notes pin to the frame, so any corner is one click away. Runs on your laptop, offline.
On its own, onboard footage is just a clip. LapInsight lets you mark laps, pin notes to the moments that matter, and keep it all for next time.
A coach sees what the last session focused on. A driver checks their notes from a previous visit to that track.
Open an onboard from a kart or a car and get timed laps and notes you can actually use. Runs offline on your laptop.

Notes
Type a note where it happened and it stays on that frame. Open the onboard weeks later, click the note, and you're back at the corner. Saved in a portable .lapi.
No logger needed
If your camera recorded GPS, and most GoPros do, one click from start/finish places every lap. No transponder, nothing to wire in.
Timestamped notes on a GT onboard. Click a note and you are back at the corner.
The player is first. Here's what's next.
Launching very soon
Upload a marked-up onboard and send anyone a link they watch in the browser, laps and notes included. Nothing for them to install.
Launching soon
Video and data on one timeline, compare laps channel by channel, and build coaching reports.
Launching soon
Collect footage from your drivers, publish reports, and share sessions across a team.
Launching soon
Video and data on one timeline, a track map coloured by speed, and laps compared side by side. This is where LapInsight is heading, beyond the player.
No manual, no setup. Open an onboard and go.
Drag your onboard onto the window, or File then Open. MP4, MOV, MKV and AVI all work.
Press Ctrl+L each time you cross the line, or place every lap at once from your camera's GPS. Ctrl+Shift+L splits sectors.
Press N, type where something happened, and it stays pinned to the frame.
Every feature earns its place in a real debrief.
Your camera's GPS places the laps. It won't replace a certified timing box, but for automatic laps it's close enough to be genuinely useful.
Pin a note to the frame and jump back to it in one click, this session or next year.
Everything runs on your laptop. No account needed to open a file and mark it up.
Laps, sectors and notes save in a small .lapi next to the video. Yours to keep, and the full app reads it too (launching soon).
We wanted a better way to coach motorsport. Before, the videos sat in one folder, the notes in a spreadsheet, the rest on some cloud drive. LapInsight keeps your sessions, videos, and notes together and organised. It works just as well for drivers reviewing their own laps.
